Get started on your own

Install the app, let it download its models, build a deck from your own product material, then press one key on a call. Plan on an afternoon, most of it spent on the deck.

Setting it up, in order

Install, then let the models download

Move FEASE to your Applications folder and open it. The first time it starts, it downloads about 1.7 GB of speech and retrieval models. It does this once.

Everything runs on your Mac. NVIDIA Parakeet turns speech into text, with Silero VAD to tell when someone is speaking. MiniLM and bge-reranker match a question to your deck, on the CPU through ONNX Runtime.

MicrophoneFEASE, optional
System Audio RecordingFEASE

macOS asks once for each. Both are listed under FEASE in System Settings, where you can change them later.

System Audio Recording lets FEASE hear the call. The microphone is optional. Without it FEASE works from the call's audio alone, which is enough to hear the buyer's question.

Build your deck

A call where the buyer asks for a SOC 2 report and the FEASE panel says NO CONFIDENT ANSWER, Bring SE in
What you see when nothing in your deck clears the floor. A frame from the FEASE film.

Your deck is a set of short answer cards written from your own product material. You build it with the FEASE plugin for Claude Code, in local mode, on your own Mac. Claude Code reads your files, drafts the cards, and you review them.

Calibration then sets the confidence floor for your deck. Below that floor FEASE shows no answer and tells you to bring the SE in, so it doesn't guess on a call.

Building the deck sends your source files to Anthropic through your Claude Code. Building and calibrating usually costs about $1 to $5 on your key. That is an estimate.

Acknowledge the consent note

In some places, everyone on a call has to agree before it is transcribed. FEASE shows a one-time acknowledgement about this when you set it up on your own.

You are responsible for following the rules where you and the other people on the call are. If you are unsure, tell them at the start of the call.

Press the hotkey

Two presses on a call, from the FEASE film.

On a call, press Control, Option and Space when a question comes up. The panel appears under your webcam with an answer from your deck, a better question to ask back, or "Bring SE in."

There are three hotkeys: answer, dismiss, and show or hide. The hotkeys can be changed in FEASE's config file.

Press once before your first real call to check that everything works.

Docs for your Claude

FEASE's documentation is written so you can point your own Claude at it and ask questions. The design and architecture are in the FEASE repository now. The guides below arrive with the first release.

Using it with a team?

The company version sends answers through your company's own server and lets one person build the deck for everyone. Pilots open later.
